Bob Schweitnitz, who previously ran the successful family business Hausmann Interiors Ltd. together with his brother Hans, brings decades of experience in cabinet making and design to every project using the new Johnstown Kitchens name.

Do you offer free design consultations?
Yes, we offer a free initial design consultation to discuss your ideas, space, and budget. We will help you explore layout options, materials, and finishes that suit your lifestyle. It is best if you can bring a drawing or sketch of your kitchen space as well as an idea of what kind of style and colour scheme you are thinking of. Finally, it is important that you tell us how much you would like your new kitchen to cost. This helps us to prioritise the essentials and create a design that suits your budget.
How much does a kitchen cost?
The cost of the complete kitchen can be broken into 3 sections: Cabinetry, worktops and appliances. For a mid-sized kitchen, the cost of cabinetry normally starts at €12k. This figure is hugely dependant on design complexity and materials chosen. Worktops typically start at €1k for a laminate type, and €5k for quartz, stone or Corian. Appliances come in a vast range of prices and styles. These can be tailored to your budget by selecting accordingly.
Do you supply appliances and worktops?
Absolutely. We can supply high-quality appliances, worktops, sinks, and taps from trusted brands such as: Bora - Miele - Neff - Siemens - Bosch - Quooker - Blanco - Franke - Dornbracht - Silestone - Dekton - Caesarstone - Corian - Topform - Blum - Grass - Kessebohmer, and others.
Do you handle plumbing and electrical work?
No, but we are happy to work closely together and provide technical drawings to your selected trades people.
How long does the installation take?
This again depends on the scale and complexity of the design. In most cases, between 2 and 3 days. If you have chosen a worktop that requires on-site templating, this typically takes 7 to 10 days once the cabinetry is installed.
What types of kitchens do you design?
We specialise in all styles — from modern and minimalist to classic shaker and bespoke luxury kitchens. Whether you prefer sleek contemporary lines or timeless traditional charm, we can bring your vision to life.
Do you offer custom or made-to-measure kitchens?
Yes, every kitchen we create is tailor-made to fit your space and lifestyle perfectly. We don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” — every element is designed to suit your needs.
What areas do you cover?
We design and install kitchens throughout Ireland and have worked extensively in the UK and occasionally in continental Europe. If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to confirm.
